Nordic Music Night 2011

Nordic Music Night 2011 Main Image

Originally penciled in for May 2011, Creativeman’s Nordic Music Night was another casualty of the earthquake and tsunami disaster which affected north eastern Japan. However all hope is not lost, with the event now rescheduled for November the 11th at Daikanyama Unit.

The event sees performances from successful bands from all over Scandinavia who scarcely get a chance to visit Japan. Amongst them are Norwegian, indie-pop darlings, “Casiokids”, who turned many heads with their 2010 debut “Topp Stemning Pa Lokal Bar”. Typified by the use of their native tongue, danceable pop hooks, with bass-heavy dub and an afrobeat touch – it’s music which is ready for the dancefloor.

Another band on the bill to watch out for are Finnish female duo LCMDF (pictured), who’s debut, “Love & Nature” earlier this year offered up the sexy dancefloor gem “Gandhi”. The event is completed by Feldberg of Kitsune Maison 9 fame and those Danish electro-punks, Reptile and Retard.

Check out a track from each band below:
