As a breathing mass, Tokyo nightclubbers tend to drink from the mainstream of electronic music, rarely stepping out of the safe 4/4 rhythms that straight-up house, techno and electro offer. However the undercurrent in Tokyo’s more experimental sectors has long been to switch more and more people over to innovative sounds.

The Tokyo based 7even imprint is one such example, helping stage a quiet upheaval in the underground scene by championing new and intelligent bass sounds from the UK and beyond. Still going strong and to celebrate their 20th release, each of 7even’s producers have offered an exclusive track to download as part of a free mini-compilation. There are tracks from JOAAN, HELIXIR, LIKHAN’, ENA and F, all of which are fantastic tracks – exemplifying exactly why this label have been turning heads and pricking up ears.

Tracks are available in club-ready high quality mp3 and FLAC formats and are absolutely free. Trot on over to the label’s bandcamp site to download your copy and become part of the revolution.
