If the cold weather and dark days make the summer festival season feel an age away, then fear not – Hostess Entertainment, one of Japan’s leading independent music companies, have just the tonic.

Whilst not exactly a festival, more an “idea of a good weekend” as they rightly put it, the Hostess Club Weekender in February offers two days of great music with both established and emerging artists aiming to beat the winter blues. As Hostess have released for so many great acts, the idea is to gather “as many of these artists as possible together under one roof” for a weekend of great music.

Headline duties on the weekend will be handled by firm Japanese favourites The Horrors and the evergreen Spiritualized, who will no doubt be showcasing material from their eagerly anticipated new album Sweet Heart Sweet Light:

Complimenting these two fantastic acts will be performances from the likes of Bradford Cox (of Deerhunter fame) as Atlas Sound, Fat Possum’s Youth Lagoon, and the UK Q magazine’s tip for 2012 – Zulu Winter:
