Brainfeeder In Tokyo
If you like your beats served broken and blunted you should check out the next Brainfeeder night, when it again rolls into Tokyo town at the end of October. The Brainfeeder label was started by Flying Lotus as a sort of spin off from Warp and is home to artists such as Tokimonsta, Thundercat (pictured), Teebs and Austin Peralta. Whilst their artists are united by a instrumental hip hop sound, there’s a real diversity across the label with references to jazz, glitch, electronica and everything in between. For woozy beats and sublime atmospherics it’s well worth checking out.
