Being British and a music enthusiast living in Japan I am not sure how Anchorsong – aka Masaaki Yoshida, A Japanese musician based in London, has managed to stay off my radar for so long.
Melodic and soulful, Yoshida’s compositions bring a strange mix of melacholy, warmth and a vibrancy which hints at something grandiose.
If you’ve been living in a cave for the past few years like me, go hit up his soundcloud and listen straight through.
