Amon Tobin: “ISAM” Live
Amon Tobin has just created something incredible. It is not often a Youtube video can leave you speechless, but the video for the world premiere of his new live show at Montreal’s MUTEK Festival left me totally agog. The larger-than-life live show has been designed to showcase his deeply textured new album ‘ISAM,’ with amazing visuals displayed on a large multi-dimensional 3-D art installation surrounding Tobin, enveloping both him and the audience in a whole new chapter in what can be considered a “live” experience.
Nothing I can write can come close to doing it justice, so I am going to shut up while you watch this:
Now on a European tour (North American tour has just been announced), playing every event to a sold-out crowd, this is sure to be the hottest ticket of the year. I am hoping and praying that this comes to Japan because it is truly spectacular. For more info visit Amon’s website.
